Season’s Greetings

Summers have knocked the Indian subcontinent brining along with new festivals to celebrate, new clothes to wear, new cuisines to explore and a whole lot of things you'll find in this newsletter.

South India offers numerous summer destinations to relax and unwind... this edition's spotlight is on the picturesque village which was once the venue of summer palace for the Maharajas of Tranvancore, Murinjapuzha. Also read in this edition about the Malayalam New Year 'Vishu' and an interesting south Indian drum called the 'GANJIRA'.

Special to coastal areas, sea food always entices our tastes buds, presenting to you a relishing recipe of Kozhuva (Fried Anchovies) in Dakshin Cuisine Spotlight and Dakshin personality this month is not just a well-known industrialist but a compassionate humanitarian and a socially conscious person 'Kochouseph Chittilappilly'.

The response at the works shops organized by Kerala Tourism at various cities in Europe in continuation with the ITB last month was overwhelming. Unlike previous editions, the large delegation of sellers from Kerala (over 30) has come as a real surprise. We thankyou for all your support.

Have a Splendid Summer Month ahead!!

Warm Regards
Team Dakhshin Routes
