Season’s Greetings !

It was an absolute pleasure to meet many of you last month at the successfully concluded WTM, London and the Kerala Tourism Roadshows held in the beautiful Scandinavian cities. We are also delighted to share with you that we have been recommended in the ‘Inde du Sud’ 2012 edition by the reknown French Tourism Guide book ‘Petit futé’, thanks to all your support and appreciations.

Winters have knocked Dakshin Bharat... The warmth of the winter sunshine has casted a surreal spell on our mind, body and everything around us. Experience the simplicity, the cultural splendour and the rustic charm, all that makes South India unique, imbibed in this edition of Dakshin Routes. Beginning from the traditional Kerelean rural life of Aranmula which is truly an experience in itself; the Kanathoor Nalvar Bhoothasthanam, a famous ‘Theyyam festival’ of Kerala is a real visual treat for the tourists who flock here during the festive season and also read about Dollu Kunitha, a ritual folk dance from Karnataka in Dakshin Art Corner and the second largest Mangrove forest in the world located at Pichavaram in Tamil Nadu, Dakshin Highlight this month.

Test your taste buds on a finger licking recipe featured in this edition – Andhra Mutton Curry, a delicacy and do read about "The Missile Woman of India" – Dr Tessy Thomas, whose contributions to science is no less than a revolution.

Hope you enjoy this edition of Dakshin Updates! Have a great month ahead.
